Why breastfeed?

Is it necessary or beneficial to breastfeed after a year old? Many mothers breastfeed for six months but some mothers take it to another level and breastfeed for two years or more for the healthy benefits, so they do not have to vaccinate their child and the child can get the most nutrients as they can. Does the benefits stop or cause other health issues after being breastfed? Breastfeeding is a way to build a closer relationship with your baby, helps the mother with depression, and in some cases weight loss.

"Breastfeeding"

My topic is breastfeeding, but the main question is, is it necessary or beneficial to breastfeed after a year old?
Many mother's breastfeed for the healthy benefits and/or so they would not have to vaccinate their child. Is it worth it though? Many women that breastfeed their child stop at six months but some women take it to another level and go two or more years so their child can get the most nutrients as they can, but does the benefits stop or cause other health issues after a while?
Breastfeeding is a way to build a closer relationship with your baby, helps the mother with depression, and in some cases weight loss. Their are many mothers that do not breastfeed due to either their lifestyles, health reasons, just for personal choice, or for the reason that they do not know how to breastfeed. Breastfeeding does prevent your child from certain things such as diseases that a bottle fed child would have more risk of in their young lives.

This topic is interesting to me due to i do have multiple people in my family that breastfeed. Some would stop after six months and some would go past a year just to protect the child. So with that, i just wanted to educate my audience on the natural, beautiful creation of breastfeeding. My audience would be breastfeeding women, upcoming parents, and also anyone that is curious about breastfeeding.

Stand by me!

The title of the song means that at some point in life your going to need someone to stand by you.

I saw that when the first musician was singing there was a father and daughter dancing to the song and they were different races. The musicians are all different but they come together for a common cause.

The message is delivered by music by different people of different nations. It is amazing on how the director has the video starting out with one person singing then gradually you see that everyone is singing as one. The music was also another feature in which makes the video so appealing, and that is that the director chose a song that everyone can relate to, making the impact so great.

I honestly enjoyed the video overall. This video displays that it does not matter on who you are, where you come from, or how you get to where you are, we are all people and we should care for one another in certain situations and in that it should not be a problem in standing by one another once somethings goes bad. The music will motivate others to step up to the plate, even if it is a small step, in order to accomplish unity throughout the world.

Violent Media...Is it good for kids?

According to Gerard Jones, violent media can actually have positive effects on young people because children need violent entertainment order to explore the inescapable feelings that they've been taught to deny, and reintegrate those feelings into more whole, more complex, more resilient selfhood.

Jones also believes that violent media are a positive influence on children because  the media may convince the children to have alter egos with social and fearless characteristics that the character withhold.

Jones make some good points. For example, he says that “we risk confusing them about their natural aggression in the same way the Victorians confused their children about their sexuality. When we try to protect our children from their own children from their own feelings and fantasies, we shelter them not against violence but against power and selfhood”. However, I do believe, as they say, violence is never the answer.

All in all, the author has points and as well as points that i do disagree with and with that i do think that there is a more suitable way to fight your anger such as sports. Media isn’t covering these events fairly due to the fact that they are pushing kids towards these angry video games instead of getting out the game and go outside to put your anger in that run or in your favorite sport which brings it to another issue obesity.

Russia Probe

Russia Probe (Fox News - White House) Sarah Saunders appealed to the audience with emotion, by defending the president. Throughout the video you see she tries to put some sort of logic to it but as they go back and fourth they talk about the character of both Hilary Clinton and Donald trump.
Russia Probe (Fox News – Tomi Lahrens) There was a lot of emotion and aggression. When it came to Tomi she did not have any facts in the argument. She does not say anything about Donald Trump but makes it clear to talk about Hilary Clinton.
Russia Probe (CNN – New York Times) I think it was my computer but the website was not working for me.
Russia Probe (MSNBC – Morning Joe) Mostly filled with facts appealing logos and ethos. They were connecting pieces together that at the end make since due to papadopoulous talked about the secret emails.

About Me

Hello, my name is Taylor Butts, and i am a freshman at Georgia Gwinnett College majoring in biology. I am a middle child a five kids and i dislike it a lot. I am 19 and my ambitions and goals are being a veterinarian to eventually have my own practice, to travel, to be successful, and also to be a godly woman. I have always had a love for animals every since i was five when my parents surprised my older sister and I with a dog.

Other than having a love for animals, i love to model, i like all genres of music except for rock and country, i like to eat everything that smells and looks good, being around friends and family makes me happy especially when we are having movie night but talking throughout the whole movie, i love to laugh and be goofy even thought most people call me corny but its okay.

To conclude, my "about me" i am a lovable person who never gets upset unless something is really wrong. I love to learn new things, even the hard things that i need help in. I am a easy person to talk to even though some people told me that i am not approachable but when you talk to me i am a light in the room. So when you see me, do not be afraid to say hi.

College is a waste of time

The introduction is in the first, second, and third paragraph. Paragraphs four through nine is the body of the essay, and the conclusion is in paragraph ten.

The thesis statement is the last sentence in the third paragraph "College fails to empower us with the skills necessary to become productive members of today’s global entrepreneurial economy".  The evidence paragraphs would include: college being expensive (in paragraph four), successful people who did not go to college (in paragraph six),  and encouraging uncollege (in paragraph seven). The refutation opposing argument is in the paragraphs eight, acknowledging being qualified for work, and nine just pushing the point of a formal education. Finally, the conclusion was in paragraph ten basically reiterating the fact that being able to take your education beyond the classroom could build a better world.

When reading this essay i see that the author is against the thought of going to college due to some reasons such as: college being too expensive, successful people not attending college, and also that technology is replacing our function of use at certain jobs. The author, Dale Stephens, has experience in going to college and advises you to not go. He is very passionate and straight to the point about the topic. As you read through the essay you see where he believes that, higher education is broken and thinks that our creativity, innovation, and curiosity are schooled out of us, making us robots. The point of uncollege is one point he wanted to make clear, making productive alternatives to college. The author makes some valid points in the essay but i must say college will take you a long way.
